Here is just one example of what he is doing..for a dance fundraiser at the park...we made about $400..he told us he had to pay the DJ $300 and telling us we made profit about 100 dollars..Later we found out the DJ is a friend of our scoutmasters and he DJ'd for Free..So He kept the $300. Its been cases like this for about 5 years now..but this is only one example..

I'm sure the BSA main office in your area would be interested to hear about this, as well as your local police.

If you suspect something you need to talk to another adult in your troop. Just remember you can't accuse someone without proof.
I am the treasurer for our Boy Scout Troop. Usually 2 or 3 adults are in charge of a fundraiser or other money collecting event. That way it keeps everyone honest. If it is determined that he may have stolen funds he should not be in charge of any money collecting.

I still don't understand why it's your job to fix this. I know that part of this money is yours but why aren't the other adults in your troop asking him to leave if they know he has been stealing money. Do the adult leaders or comittee members know what he is doing? If not you must tell them.
P.S. Please don't let this bad apple dad keep you from earning your Eagle Award. Good luck to you. My son just earned his Eagle last month.

Contact the District Executive for your area and report your suspicions. S/he is obligated to investigate. If no investigation, contact your Council Executive. The Council Executive will investigate, or steer the DE to investigate. If you are not sure who the DE is, call your council office (http://www.scouting.org/nav/enter.jsp?s=xx&c=lc and enter your zip code) and ask for your District Executive. They will link you up, then you can voice your concerns.

If you've filed a police report, and your local police department has not followed up on the report, contact your local newspaper and ask why the police are no longer investigating crime in your community.

Be aware, raffles and lotteries of any type are not authorized fund raisers for BSA groups. The DE will give you forms for approved fund raisers.

Your story aside, which by the way gives credit to the complaint to no one in particular, Liberals do not hate the troops. Disagreeing with the current administrations foreign policy sais nothing about your perspective on the military. The concept of the left hating the troops is simply a "tallking point" coming from the administration that the right somehow believe.

You have to report it. He can do worse - if you won't. For your safety and for others as well as the doer - he should be stopped. It will benefit him in the long run if his problem (stealing problem is addicting) will be stopped now.

OF course there is something that you can do ----- contact your local police or sheriff's dept. They will investigate this.
