I've had a Hewlett Packard wireless mouse for maybe seven months now and recently I replaced the batteries in the mouse. It seemed to go as normal but after resynchronizing the mouse with the receiver the cursor moved sluggisly for a moment or two then completely ceased responding as if the batteries had died. Neither of the buttons or the scroll wheel would respond so I assumed it was faulty batteries and cursed Energizer but after trying a second then third pair and getting the same results each time I became worried that something may have broken. Is this a problem with the mouse hardware or with the interface between mouse and receiver? It was very expensive and I'd like to avoid having to purchase another any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a cordless phone, wireless router, or garage door opener? All of these things can cause interference. Most wireless devices run on the same frequencies, and if they are too close to each other, can cause issues. The only other advice I would give is make sure u are not exceeding the range of the mouse. they have very small antenneas, so range is pretty limited. If wireless is how you want to be, you may want to look into bluetooth. It has better range, and works on a different frequency then wireless.

Un-install all drivers and disconnect your mouse. Connect a non-Wireless mouse and re-install the wireless mouse drivers. Dis-connect the non-Wireless mouse and Re-boot again.

Connect the wireless mouse. WinDOZE should find it.

a sturdy high quality instantaneous mouse (Logitech) won't lag in any respect. whilst the batteries placed on down, it is going to tutor you a pink gentle on the mouse, and the mouse will seem to freeze up. decide for it.
