I argue that terrorism is a Treasonous and seditious crime above that of Regicide- it kills purely innocent often sympathetic people.
In this case, the punishment must fit the crime and the death penalty alone is not deterrent enough. It necessitates a public and grotesque display to assuage all from attempting it.
Besides- we've done it in the past and it's proven to be successful.
Guy Fawkes? Not too many copied him after his punishment, did they?
Then we'd parboil the limbs and head, pop them on pikes and leave them somewhere visible, like a mosque or a Catholic church, or Falls or Shankle Road or the like.
I quite happily throw my mask into the ring as Chief Executioner. I've a strong tum-tum and I don't mind getting guts on my shoes for love of country.
Convince me even the thought of it wouldn't be highly satisfying- a terrorists testes and guts burnt before him?
For women terrorists- we just burn them as witches- easy.

Am I a savage, violent barbarian? Yes and I remain proud of it. But I have a post-grad.
Notice China lacks the problems we do with terrorists- bet you didn't know they have one bombing per day in Uyghur Province with their native muslims? Islamic jihadism is not confined to the west

It is so shameful the UK is full of spineless wimps.
Actually I have friends in Indonesia- most muslim- but all Nationalists. I had the privilege of meeting some serving soldiers from Aceh- death toll 30,000 jihadis and growing.

What is the difference between you wanting to kill them for something they have done and them wanting to kill for something that was done to them.
This would make you just as bad as them.
Judging by this question and previous questions i have seen you post by definition you are an extremist. Can you not see that you are no different from these people other than you are coming from another angle.
"Am I a savage, violent barbarian? Yes and I remain proud of it. But I have a post-grad."
This backs up my argument and what does having a post-grad have to do with anything, The people responsible for the recent attempted attacks in Britain all had doctorates

My views are that this would not make us any better than the terrorists. We have come a long way since Guy Fawkes havent we? What is wrong with seeking justice without an eye for an eye? If we hang these terrorists we will be making martyrs out of them for their followers which is exactly what they want.
It would make the situation worse.

Once again I have to explain that the death penalty is illegal in the UK _not_ because of British law, but because of European law, which overrides British law. We cannot have the death penalty because it is illegal in Europe.
The death penalty may be barbaric enough - the only 'civilized' country to still regularly practice it is the US, but PUBLIC executions were abolished in 1832. Torture is also illegal in the UK, and hanging, drawing and quartering is most certainly that.
And yes - plenty of people were hanged drawn and quartered after Fawkes. In addition you seem to forget that terrorists don't care about dying. The threat of execution isn't going to put off people who will only be alive if their bombs don't go off properly.
You are incredibly barbaric. Not even the most hideous and backward regeimes in the world practice such horrendous modes of execution. Not even in North Korea, Iran or Saudi Arabia are people treated in such a disgusting and shameful way. A fine example for the west to live by.
*edit* A postgrad - SURE you do. Besides, level of intelligence on a specific subject is not a measure of overall intelligence. You get people who could tell you everything you ever needed to know about washing machines and not know what day of the week it is.
Supposing for a minute you're telling the truth about the "one bomb a day" in China, their death penalty certainly doesn't seem to be stopping the terrorists. China only recently stopped making the families of those executed pay for the bullet, yet somehow - mysteriously, the terrorists still strike! Amazing!
Personally I thought the reason we were fighting the war on terror was (apart from oil and vengence) "defending our freedoms and the civilized world". Now call me old fashioned, but I don't think strangulating someone, slitting them open and burning their entrails whilst they writhe in agony in PUBLIC is particularly civilized.
Now if you think the UK is full of "spineless wimps" why don't you start your own glorious 'counter jihad'? I'd be interested to see how far you get before you're locked up and the key is thrown away.

I´m hardly politically correct, but I´d never endorse such barbarism, besides it would make them martyrs.
As for you relishing the role of torturing a condemned individual, I think that you´re either very frustrated by recent happenings (understandable to a degree), you´re a psychopath, or an attention seeker. If it´s the former, then you´re directing your anger at the wrong people, it´s the politicians who are to blame - for the Iraq War, their PC attitude and opening our borders to all and sundry.

To hang draw and quarter someone, however terrible their crime is, is lowering ourselves to their level. However, I do believe capital punishment should be re introduced, probably by lethal injection.

That will just make them bigger martyrs to their cause if they can strap a bomb to themselves I don't think they are all that worried about death.

The favoured weapon of the terrorist is fear.
The answer is to return it ten fold.
Simply remove their head with a blunt knife whilst shouting "God is great" and stick the vid on prime time TV.
