Ever since we upgraded from BT 2mbs to BT Total Broadband 8mbs, when interleaving was enabled, the internet has been slow, laggy and prone to disconnection.

ps. interleaving is an algorithmic error correction thing on lots of higher speed ADSL lines, but it can add up to 40ms to pingtimes.

It's best to have interleaving left on - turning it off would have the opposite effect (more errors on the line, etc). Chances are the sync speed is too high for your line. This should be picked up by the ISP before too long and it'll be automatically reduced, which should get rid of those disconnections.

Do you know your current sync stats?

If by "interleaving", you mean "Asyncronous":

No, call your ISP. That's why ADSL costs more than DSL.
