When I was younger I trusted everyone until they gave me a reason not to. So many people gave me reasons to not trust them thru the years that now, after being stabbed in the back by friends, cheated on by mates and lied to by almost everyone at some point, I don't trust anyone until they give me a reason to trust them. In general; people are not trustworthy in the long run. How sad ...

Well I'm a lot less trusting of other people after this week I can assure you! Some people are just so two - faced and dishonest with you. Back stabbing b........s! People who you have done sooo much for. When will I learn and recognise the signs of an untrustworthy person. I'm better than I used to be though.x

I am fairly trusting. I have tend to have faith that most people will do the right thing, however once my trust is lost it is very difficult to regain.

I think is better to be this way then to not trust anyone, which must be a hard way to live.

There were many years in my life when I would help anybody as much as I can. Then two people I trusted caused me severe lifelong problems. I will neither trust nor help another person again in my life. I would recommend that you do the same. All most, not all, people care about are themselves.

I trust no one. I have seen nothing but even the most trustworthy people lie in some way, so I just do not trust a soul. I'm not angry or bitter about it, it's just a way of life.

Far too trusting. My family gets upset with me. They tell me that people are basically bad and point out the things they do. I say people are basically good and circumstance makes a crook.

I can't allow the bad ones to steal my heart. I feel that's on them and they will have to answer for it.

The next person that comes my way will not suffer for the last. (you can't take it with you)

not very...

a few years ago i had a nervous breakdown, which was basically caused by me placing a lot of trust in my employers and co-workers, only for them to land me well and truly in the sh*t. since then i have been very careful about who i trust. i could probably count on one hand how many people i know now that i would fully trust.

A bit more trusting than I should be perhaps, but it's worth it when people do come through... I'm pretty guarded about conmen now, having been scammed in the past, but I guess I still get taken for a ride once in a while... still, as long as it's a scenic ride, it's not too bad :)

I'm far too trusting and have been hurt because of it but that's me. As soon as I'm wronged the barriers come up against the person but it doesn't stop me from trusting others. x

Sometimes you have no choice but to trust people. Picture yourself being placed on a spinal board by paramedics after you've suffered an accident. You have no choice but to put trust in them and the medical staff when you arrive at hospital. Believe me ..... it happened to me!!
