T40 Laptop Screen/Monitor Has Line Going Down?

My T40 laptop was stepped on by my lovely toddler. It has a "bleeding" type line going down the screen. Is it possible to replace the screen, would it be expensive I assume? Its a Thinkpad..older version. Any help would really be appreciated.

Yes it can be fixed, but it would probably be expensive. Call up the Lenovo service line and they should be able to give you a quote.


I suspect that it will by 70%+ of a new laptop. Considering how old a T40 is I would probably take it as an opportunity to get a nice new T61.
