Here's the real question, Steve. If and when they do find the "gay" gene, how many parents will ask for the scientists to make the gene recessive so their little Johnny or Susie won't grow up to be a homie? Gene therapy is on the cutting edge of medical technology and soon we will just stimulate (or sedate) the appropriate gene to correct the medical problem. Let's hope someone doesn't come along and say that being gay is a "medical condition". But yes, I was gay before birth, I was gay at conception and maybe further beyond that. I hear that gay traits are inherited from the mother's egg. There is no definitive proof of this however as I do not know what miraculous circumstances converged to make the wonderful that is me (other than my dad getting laid in the bed of his truck back in 78) but I am glad it made me gay!
