the bigger turtle that i had did that to the smaller turtle

yea pretty much what that dued (plz go 2 doors down) said it right on the head

Head biting is an aggressive behavior that usually is done by a bully turtle.

It can signal either that the habitat is too small (most turtles need big habitats) or that one is just a bully and will pretty much always abuse the others.

Knowing the species would help. Some species are just naturally more bullying than others.

that means the male is tiring 2 let the female no that he wants to mate. just to let you no that you are going to live with that for a long time. my turtles are doing that to but it is mating season. my female is pregnant now. best wishes
