If we were to put eco-activists completely in charge overnite of this country, our economy would collapse in a matter of years (maybe days) due to all the ridiculous anti-capitalist anti-business legislation. Then guess what else would happen? Everyone elses (virtually the entire world) economy would all suffer the effects.

Then guess what else? You guessed it! World war 3 and then we all become barely post industrialized nations again polluting more than ever!! So how does destroying or even hindering the economy help the environment?

To liberals and socialists, America has been on top for too long, too proud, and needs to be cut down to size. We are too big economically and presumably put out the most polution, use the most energy, and no country should be this big or this great. To them, success brings on fear that they are putting other countries in poverty, destroying the environment, and becoming unsustainably big.

Liberalism has nothing but contempt for the average citizen and only believes that good living can come about through following the elite of society (liberals) to properly govern us and show us the right way to live. (Through 50-70% taxes, 30% unemployment, massive welfare roles, multiculturalism, inability to wage war against tyranny, and socialized wait-in-line medicine.) To them, achievment should be limited. Business is the true enemy and should be limited and merely thought of as just another social program. But to conservatives, people are what make the country great, not the elite. And it is GOVERNMENT that is our only enemy if it becomes too big. Govt is something to be restrained, not grown.

If Al Gore gets his way, if frogs had shotguns snaes wouldn't eat them! If Al Gore gets his way we'll be under communism a new world order and we'll all be poor except for the ruling class which will drive hybreds at 100 mph, while guzzling a brewski and smoking a hooter!

That's not exactly how carbon points work.

Beyond that conserving energy is in the interest of the middle and lower classes best interest. It saves money. Who wouldn't want to save a few hundred a year on their electricity bill? Or save on their gas bill?

Yes, I would get my carbon points... following which I would laugh at those of the liberal species who were stupid enough to vote for him.

Al Bore won't get his way. Many people don't buy any of his BS. He found a gimmick that sells.

Who or what is algore? Maybe you should take a look at what the President did to Texas' environment while he was governor. Their air is now more polluted than LA. thanks to his policies.
