Never.
I really do think bully's are underestimated these days, and unless you've been a victim of bullying yourself..you can never truly understand whats it feels like or put yourself in their shoes.
I've never bullied or been bullied myself, but I have seen others go through bullying and tried to help and support them as much as possible.
I don't think enough is done these days to prevent or put a stop to bullying, I think schools are too light and soft on bullies. At our school anyway, people are given a measly detention or telling off, or asked "Please would you stop that?" and that's the end of it. The most sickening thing is watching them walk around the place with their heads held high with a smirk, because they know they can get away with it!
It really is disappointing to see!

Yeah...let's bully the bully and see how they like it!
I was once in a seminar that dealt with harassment in the workplace. We did some role playing and I got to be the bully. At last, I discovered what they got out of it! It is a huge power rush! Amazing! But the interesting part was that I did such a number on this great big macho type that he at last realized how it felt and the subtle and not so subtle ways he had been victimizing people for years. That was the best payoff!
Loved it !

No and no again; no matter what the circumstance is! And if you have been a victim of it, you shouldn't tolerate it!! This year I've put a campaign against bullying although i wasn't actually a real victim of it, I couldn't just stand by the sideline and let those losers get away with what they wanted. We should all fight bullying together! The stronger should help the weaker! Bullying is no different from any violence or injustice committed against people! So NO it is NOT acceptable...AT ALL!!
Thank you :-)

No, it isn't.
Having said that, it's not uncommon for kids to do, and even adults. In all honesty, there is a certain amount of "bullying" that goes on your entire life.
The manager who threatens your job if you don't work overtime, for example. That's a form of bullying. Or the boss who screams at you. or the teacher who screams and rants. All these people are using a position of authority to intimidate. (*shrug*) Makes the little twit on the playground look like a rank amateur some days.

I may be a bit older than many of you, but in my schooldays, the main bullies were two of our teachers. one in particular would be jailed for the abuse he meted out to the pupils, if he was alive today. On one occasion, when queueing for the dinner hall, I received 6 of the belt because he reckoned my shoulder was 6 inches out of line with those in front. when I summoned all my courage to complain to the head, I was given 6 more for having the audacity to complain about a teacher. That was in my first week at secondary school.
From that day, the thought of a further 3 years at that school absolutely terrified me.

No not ever. I was bullied at school, but four of us that were getting the same treatment banded together and then we got left alone. We still meet up a couple of times a year.

I was on the sidelines, watching the other kids getting bullied. I was shy, so no one picked on me and I didn't have the gall to stand up for other kids. I do however hate the fact that it still goes on. Those bullies probably were unruly brats that were never spanked when they were bad and somewhat controllable and impressionable.
