read a question and give a thumbs up to the answers you like but not answer the question yourself????

Sure, if someone has already expressed themselves the way i wanted to, what's the point in saying the same thing but wording it differently? I would rather give the person a thumbs up so the asker would see that it is a worthy answer. Most of the times, though, I answer questions!

No... I like to have may say too much, if I like a question I cant help but answer... I will give a few thumbs up before I answer though sometimes...

Yeah. If it's the person is looking for information and someone gave an answer that matches what I would have said or gives an answer that's better than mine or proves my answer wrong, I don't see why I should answer the question. But I give credit where it's due.

If it's a poll or survey, then duplicate answers make sense since the person asking the question is trying to gauge feelings and opinions.

i would, why not, but I still can¨t. i have to collect many points for that. i like to read what other people writes and a think it is nice when you give thumb up to the answers you like...

Yes. I almost did it with this one as well. Kaia, jennyforrich, and explorer, all received thumbs up from me, because it’s what I would’ve said. but I'm answering anyway, because if I didn't, then you wouldn't know I'm one of those who give thumbs up but don't always necessarily answer.
