IntRAcellular digestion is the breaking down of food molecules by enzymes within a cell. This is often done in the lysozomes. These are small organelles with potent denaturing proteins that must be isolated from the rest of the cellular constituents in order to prevent the cell from digesting itself.
As for the second part: notice that both answerers have the same phrasing? Wonder where they got that - they didn't cite any sources.
Extracellular digestion would be when the enzymes necessary to break down the food molecule (organic or not) are outside the cell.
