What causes you to just breakdown and say "STOP!" to the world.
For me, it's my two full time jobs.

No clones, but no days off either, and very little sleep.

My full time paying job has changed drastically over the 5 years I've been there- professional and personal issues that have me walking a tightrope daily...........
My house is 35 years old and needs both major and minor repairs that I just can't keep up with or afford to pay someone else to fix.........
My 4 kids are active, intelligent, stubborn and not always the most helpful bunch! Keeping on top of them and tabs on where they are and who they are with causes my head to spin!!!
And I've been single for 7 years.- when their dad has them I run around and try to play catch up with the chores, work a few extra hours to catch up at work, run errands and do the shopping.............and usually sleep at least 12 hours one of the nights!!! Yep, you could say I get burnout!

I get burnt out when I haven't gotten much sleep. Take this past two weeks for example, we were in the field, and wake up was between 0500-0530. We would get ready for the day, and head up to the training area by around 0800. With the IBA on - including plates, my kevlar, camelback filled with water, plus my weapon and ammo, it put an extra 60 pounds on me. Not bad if I wasnt moving though right? Well imagine having that on all day until about 2200, then going back to the company ao to shower and get ready for the next day. After being outside when the temps are now 100 + degrees out now, it was definitely wearing me out. Adrenaline kicked in alot though, and I had a blast this field rotation!
So when we got back to post on July 4th, and we were taking care of vehicles, taking out all the gear we had brought and what not, after all was said and done, I definitely felt like I could sleep for a few days!
So after my suitemate and I went tanning, we came back, my boyfriend and I played some Rainbow Six Vegas on the XBOX360 and I crashed out hard by 2030.
Its times like that that make me want to say STOP to the world and just let me sleep!

When people are unbearably stupid.
Ya know - I'm usually pretty calm about answering folks questions, at work - whereever, but sometimes - GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
For example - I was volunteering for a public television pledge drive recently. One of the "presents" we gave peopel for subscribing was a Frank Sinatra CD. You could get the CD or a book.
A woman kept asking "Can I play the CD in my car?" and I would ask "Well - do you have a CD player in your car?" and she said "It's a ford......."
Sometimes there's just too much c r a p like that in one day and I can't take it.
On yahoo answers in particular it's the people in the sex forums that really shouldn't be having sex. Seriously. If I see a question like "My boyfriend says 'pulling out' is good birth control, but I'm 14 and think I might be pregnant now" one more time, my head is going to explode.
I just want to yell "IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR PARTS DO - DON'T STICK THEM IN OTHER PEOPLE!!!!!"
wow. I ranted. sorry about that.

Yes, sometimes I do suffer from burnout. At times I just get overwhelmed, with 3 children, sports, taking care of the house, taking care of my mom, and running two businesses.

i think i'm having a burn out at this stage of my life. i just got hired but i feel ready to give up. it's just isn't the same anymore. with my previous job, i was always excited and i think i was kinda idealistic at that time but then something went wrong and i got disillusioned. now i don't have the same passion anymore. i feel that my strength & drive are draining.

i did in 1995...was so burnt out and so tired of life...the biggest challenge for me was to slow down and then finally made myself stop...no one understood my actions.i took a year off and did nothing.it did not cure me completely but it gave me a lease on life...to always take the time to slow down and smell the roses...
