It costs me 5 points you get 2 points for your answer & I pick your answer as best you get another 10 points. Later for no falt of yours I get a violation I know I loose 10 points BUT what happens to the 12 points you got. Do you keep them or do you loose them (There is nothing wrong with your answer & you have NOT recived a violation on this question)

I would think since I got the points before you got deleted, I would still be able to keep the points because it would not be my fault if you got a violation.

What's with the violation? When i ask a question, it costs me 5 points, and 3 points back for a best answer..i don't get a violation or anything....anyway, the 2 points it costs me will be worth the answer you guys give me.

i get to keep it..lol, and it actually happened to me yesterday. I received an email notification for the best answer and when i clicked View Question, i get this YA notice that the question has been removed, and yet when i checked my Activity details, it's still there in my points...â¥

Yes, I keep the 12 points. I've never seen points mysteriously deducted.
