Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm confused because I'm uncertain what the difference between a real and unreal question is.

Why don't you try asking "What do l have to ask?"
Seriously, ask something like "What time is it where you from" or "Did you watch Die Hard and die watching it?" Oh, yes both are lame but there'll be a lot of answers. lol
