Okay....so i'm wrighting a pirate story...and i have been for a while...this is #5 to be exact. So i used to wright, "I, a mere 13 year old can not get into this scene this much." and then i would make a whole page of smiles. So now...I am NOT a mere 13 year old....but a 14 year old. ;) So now i don't have to type that and i CAN get into that scene. But the question is...should i and how far should i get into it?? It is between Davy Jones's wife, Calypso, and the Vampire Lestat :). Hot, huh? So....how far should i go, people?!?!?!?

Just do what you want. I personally imagine the sex scene to be funny and I would probably laugh if I read it. But that's not bad.

Quite honestly, unless it's really called for - no. First of all, at 13 or 14 you dont know enough about sex to write a major sex scene beyond the panting and moaning and what part goes where. Secondly, most editors will cut it out and leave it what I refer to as "blurred". Trust me on that. Also do think you should learn how to spell writing before you actually do it. Pax - C

You need to consider your audience, assuming you're not writing for your own amusement.

If you hope for paid publication, the audience for your basic subject matter is not going to be receptive to a sexually graphic scene dropped in there just to titillate. Much of the potential readership is going to be under 18, so any competent editor will remove it or, more likely, reject the story on that basis.

Give you a buck if you'll learn to spell "write."
