The ones that you most likely are referring to are located in Egypt in a place called Giza. This is also where you will find the Sphinx.
The Great Pyramid remained the tallest building in the world until early in this century and it was built in just under 30 years. It presides over the plateau of Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo, and is the last survivor of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Five thousand years ago Giza, situated on the Nile's west bank, became the royal burial place. There are three pyramids and the Sphinx and all were constructed in the fourth dynasty of Egypt's Old Kingdom, arguably the first great civilization on earth.
Today, Giza is a suburb of Cairo, the largest city in Africa and the fifth largest city in the world.
The Pyramids are an amazing site to see and something that everyone should see once in their lifetime.

Depends which pyramids you are looking for!
In Egypt alone you have more than 90 pyramids scattered all over the western side of the Nile... and beyond in Nubia.
Other civilizations have laso been constructing pyramids in ancient and even modern times, the ones in South America comming in second place after the Egytian Pyramids...
Some answers contain a more complete list.
You even have new pyramids like the new glass pyramid built infront of the Louvre Museum in Paris France... it was built during thepresidency of President Francois Mitterand. And was mentioned in the best seller novel "the Da Vinci code".
But if you just want to know where the most famous ones... that is the Pyramids of Giza... they are located on the western outskirts of the Greater Cairo area... in the City of Giza... as I mentioned in a previous answer their coordinates are 29 degrees 58' 33" North and 31 degrees 07' 51" East.
