Just cut the food chain that allows your bugs to multiply and throw them outdoors one by one until none remain.

Otherwise you could put water in a jar of peanut butter and let it stand for three days. Then open it where the bugs are.

You can add about a teaspoon of crushed garlic , onions, chives, or shallots to your dog or cats food .Fleas will not bite the pet that eat these because it gets into the blood stream ,giving the blood a funny taste that fleas do not like .

You can also mix one teaspoon of apple juice into a bowl of water with a little vitamin B1 .Ask you vet how much vit B1 you should use . He will determine the dosage by the weight of your pet .Apple juice will also strengthen your pets immune system .

Be sure and vacuum your house regularly and empty the bag out doors to help get rid of fleas.Place a lemon car air freshner in the bag to give your house a fresh lemon scent and repel fleas also .

You can make a solution to spray on your pet to repel fleas by taking and cutting up lemons in a bowl . Add hot water and let it sit over night . Then strain the water off and put it into a spray bottle .Spray on your pet .

There are some other flea repellents like citronella and eucalyptus oils but they can be toxic to the pet . If you use these I would soak a bandanna in them , let it dry and place around the dogs neck . Watch to make sure he has no reaction to it , loss of hair or scratching . If so remove it right away .

You can put a small bowl of soapy water in a room and leave over night . Fleas will jump in and the soap will keep them from jumping out so they will drown . Just do not let your pets drink the soapy water .

Hope that helps .

A good, name brand flea shampoo first, then take a comb and comb the dead fleas out, after that put on a flea coller, for the subject with the fleas, they can be cut to fit, put another flea collar in the vacuum bag and vacuum wherever the animal was when it had fleas, do this for a week, at least once a day and you will be fine

There are natural remedies but they don't KILL the flea, they only make the dog not taste good, so they're considered repellants.

Your vet would probably know which would work in your area--Florida you can use eucylyptus leaves in the dogs bed, for example, it grows down there and works pretty good. But when you decide to use something, make SURE it's ok. Ask your vet!

Tea tree oil is sometimes used, but it's fatal to cats if they get exposed to it. Dogs are ok with it. Same as some things we use for us would hurt a dog bad if they got it. ALWAYS ask a vet before you try something.

You could get a white bowl and fill it with soapy water. The fleas will be drawn to the whiteness and drown and die in the soapy poison. You could also get some orange carpet spray and spray it on your carpet and mabye some furniture, depends on the material.
P.S.
If you have any dogs that live indoors, you should try to block off the bowl of water, because my dogs always drank it and got sick.
