Polls do matter a great deal to some people.

Polls are a rough indication of general trends and popular belief. To some people, that information is very important in their decision making process.

Yes...and often they are "twisted' to try to fit some agenda.

Never pay attention to them...they are used to try to persuade people to one side or another.
