Mending a broken Heart takes alot of time for some people.
It may take her a long time to trust boys again. Especially if this guy was her first. The Guy who really likes her now , will have to take baby steps to get to win her over . Trust in her mind now is very hard .
Good luck to you and her
Steve

well first off she shouldnt treat certain guys like jerks not every man/boys are jerks but for the other let her have time to heal and she will begin to date again when she is ready i know its hard for women to trust a guy after the hearts are broken but she needs to be herself and not treat them like they are all jerks bc not all men are. Finally tell her admirer to relax and still talk to her but give her time and if she wants to hook up with him let her come to him i hope that helps in a small way believe me i have fouind some of the worse men on the earth and i mean bad but she will eventually be able to date

Leave her alone. Let her heal. She has plenty of time before she needs to get involved, and putting it off a couple of years may be to her benefit.
If this other guy really likes her, he needs to be a friend right now. Don't put any kind of relationship pressure on her, just be there. I guarantee, if he becomes her best friend, he's just a step away from becoming her best love.

tell the boy to tell your friends this "I know you've had your heart broken once before but i promise you i wont hurt you, i really like you and if you give me a chance i can prove it to you."
Than try talking to your friend and tell her that she needs to try to move on and everything will be okay and it wont happend agian. Tell her that everyone gets there heart broken atleast once in their life and shes lucky it happend now rather than later.

you cant really convince her.
the boy has to show her that he will be there for her, and he doesnt just want to get into her pants and leave.
and then your friend has to learn that one does not equal all.
there are many fish in the sea,and not all of them are jerks.

the boy should first tell her he likes her, then tell her that he won't break her heart.

You may help them more by letting them work it out.
