I agree and some of the bands performing were not that good. I judge a live performance on how close it is to the recorded version with all it's sound enhancement etc. I didn't hear one that came up to the mark. Why do we have to have the feeble and sometimes disgusting interviews between bands. When I go to a concert I don't have it so why do the BBC think we need it at home. It was too long and in a lot of cases quite boring.

I agree. And that Ricky Gervais made a wrong comment by saying that they flew all the band members and equipment in. Very wrong comment as that is burning fuel from the moters which polutes the air. He just made us all aware that, yes they are trying to get the message across, but making the comment of flying them over is a bad influence for what we need to do.

Well, all those people got there, and I am pretty sure they did not walk. Stars came either on 20-ton tour buses or airplanes. It probably took several semis to transport all the stuff to make the show happen.
But don't confuse global warming advocates with facts. Just do as they say, not as they do. I'm really, really serial about this.

What he is saying is how much electricity and fossil fuels were consumed in the transportation of equipment and power and broadcasting of these concerts... it must have been huuuuge.
I didnt waste my time I went to a concert benefit to fight child abuse tonight actually.

And how come the London show had American acts and the South African show had 2 British acts - what sort of carbon footprint did that leave?
