i have a usb device and i got rid of everything on it but when i go into properties it says that half the room is taken up. but there is nothing on there!!!! can anyone tell me what it i and how to get rid of it? thanks

If you want to ensure it is empty, simply format it.

Open My COmputer, right click on the USB drive letter, and do a 'quick' format. That should do it!

Using a mac? macs like to leave a folder on there called .trashes

If you're sure you don't want anything from it right click on the device in my computer and select format. This will wipe everything from it.

A lot of usb devices have their own programs on them for formatting.

Maybe the file is hidden. Open the control panel, go to Appearance and Themes, click folder options, click the view tab, and under hidden files and folders click show hidden files and folders" then click OK. Maybe the file will show up then.

yes it happened to me also. right click it and you should find a cleanup button. it might be under properties or somthing. sorry i dont remember exactly. youll find it there.

use Zip 250, compressed zip
