I remember walking along a hike and right next to my feet this black snake slithered across the trail, it cought me off guard.

Yes!!! I've been scared by snakes many times. The worst experience was when I was little and I was swimming in a lake. A black cotton mouth snake was swimming directly towards me with it's mouth wide open. My crazy uncle got a gun and shot it. Luckily he had good aim!!!!!!

Yes, I was caught off guard 1 day when we were horseback riding and a huge pine snake slithered out and I screamed LOL..luckily my horse didn't care, although I scared the other 2 people riding with me :>...Otherwise I'm not really that afraid of snakes...

Animals have STARTLED me, but rarely scared me. I've come close to stepping on a snake and it IS startling, but generally snakes don't scare me. In fact, I kid you not, one day I got in my car and there was a garter snake ON MY DASHBOARD. I just picked him up and put him outside -- but I know some people who would STILL be screaming!
The only time I was really SCARED of an animal was when my friend's guard dog got loose while I was in their yard. He did bite me but I stood my ground so the bite wasn't as bad as it might have been if I had run. It was VERY scary seeing this big dog run towards me knowing he INTENDED to bite...

I didn't think I was afraid of snakes until I started the Vet Tech program I eventually graduated from.
Up until then, I had handled small snakes and was fine. The snake the program has is a 7 foot python. I was fine feeding him and cleaning up after him, but one day I had to handle him.
I completely freaked out! I was amazed that I was scared, but he was SO BIG!! It seemed like when he moved around my stomach just dropped!
So silly!
I was just fine after awhile though.

Not really, I have kept and I am keeping some of the more creepy animals known to man. Some are even multiplying.

i love animals ppl just dont understand snakes they help alot with pest and t clear this up they are not slimy i breed snake i should know

Nahhhhh I like all creatures...including snakes and spiders and I am a women goooo figure! I have a friend and if there is any bug in her house she calls me to kill it!!!!!!!!!

i LOVE animals
this summer i went to the galapagos islands and scuba dived with hammer head, which circled us be the hundreds, just being curious. :)
but, i have been scared of dogs. Not attacking me, but attacking my dog, who seems to wear an imaginary "kick me" sign.

when i was 11 years old a mad and angry meat hungered chiwawa ran after me for 100m lool ..and i wasnt afraid of big dogs....
