Report it, then never fall for it again. If it sounds too good to be true, it really, REALLY is. Sorry for your loss.

I don't suppose you want to hear this, but unfortunately you have lost your money. Unless the police can recover it for you then there is little you can do. Remember you sent the money to the Western Union in this persons name so it was easy for him/her to collect. These kind of frauds have been going on a long time. If you won money, why should you have had to pay out? You obviously did not do your homework on this one. These types of frauds are happening everyday. Why don't you look up scams on the Internet and you will see. As I said if the police cannot help you to get your money back then you will never see it again.

You have probably been taken by a scam artist that have been sending fake checks to several people in different states saying for you to cash a certain check and send them back most of it in order to get the rest of your money, the hitch is that the check is no good. My daughter was sent one and I had it checked out by the local internet provider and was told it was a scam and to tear it up. I did but I have heard that many did not and got cheated out of millions of dollars. I dont know what to tell you on this one, the check was probably cashed in Jamaica or other places. You may be able to write the Attorney General's Office in Miami, Florida but I doubt if it will help you. It's a shame that we have people in this world that lives off of such crimes but we cant seem to do anything about it.

The person you sent the money to most likely lives in Nigeria, or at least somewhere outside the US, which means there would have to be an extradition to do anything about it. It is highly unlikely that the government will spend the money to extradite someone for this kind of crime, since they have a hard enough time extraditing murderers.

Unfortunately, you will just have to consider this a learning experience - if something seems too good to be true, it probably is!

I am sorry to say this, but you have been very thoughtless and not a little greedy. You have been robbed, most likely by a group originating in NIGERIA. I am unable to see why anyone would not care to see the obvious; someone offering you huge amounts for nothing but even more money from you. There is one way out, but I do not promise it will work. The INTERPOL will be very interested to track these scoundrels, but they can be contacted through your local government agencies like your local police and the representative in the law making body. It is a laborios process and the results are not assured. Anyway try your luck, dear.

Waste of time to try and get back. You have to accept you have been conned. You should not have fallen for the con trick - this kind of scam is very common - usually they send you email or letter and promise you lottery or asking you to give your bank details saying they have lots of money to put into your account. And some people because of their greed fall for that . Then they ask you to deposit some money - now - to claim certificate etc.

The common -sense rule is If sounds someone is giving you something for nothing - be suspicious. Avoid it.

Call it experience. The deed is done . You have been fleeced. No use crying over spilt milk.

I hate to put it this way... but it looks to me like you let greed rule over common sense... Some one sent you an e-mail and told you you won a lottery 1. that you never entered. 2. that really didn't sound right but hey weirder things have happened. 3. and sure I should have to pay them to get MY money... You with me yet ? Each step of the way greed rose common sense dropped.... Next time remember if it initially sounded to good to be true it's cause it wasn't!

Sorry to say this but you have been robbed... You were very foolish To send any money to these people, and you have now lost it, with no hope of a refund. You will just have to put it down to experience and don't ever be so silly again... These gangs work on the greed of people to win money and some of the hundreds they do approach actually send them money, and end up losing it all..

youve been scammed and youre never going to get your money back. Firstly you should have sensed that this was a scam when youre told youve won a lottery that you didnt enter, then when youre told you have to pay a processing fee or a fee for courier delivery of the prize money that also should have alerted you. Sorry to say this but youre never going to see that money again

I am afraid to tell you that you stand little or no chance of retrieving any money or having any retribution against these scammers. If you go to www.lottery.co.uk/info/scams you will find out more information or type in lottery scams and search same. You will find all of the advice that you require but I think that you have a lost cause
