I really would like to be a chef , but im not sure about how much money i would get payed and the course i will need to take for being a chef???

There are culinary colleges, and many community colleges also have courses in cooking.
You should phone different restaurants and see if you can do an information interview with a few people who are chefs. Find out what their job entails, what they like and dislike about it, how they became chefs, and other related career options or stepping stones.

The best way to train to be a chef is on the job. The more prestigious a restaurant you get a job in, the better chance you have of gaining the high level of skills and the reputation which will open you up to the best jobs.
On the down side, you will have no social life apart from with other people who always work evenings and weekends. And holidays - which are the busiest times, so you can forget Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter e.t.c
Also split shifts suck as you will probably end up working from, say, 11 in the morning and finish at 10 or later in the evening with 3 hours off between sessions which is not enough time to do anything except rest enough to get started again.
I loved cooking, but I found too many down sides to the job.
My boyfriend used to call me Chip Fat because I smelt of frying when I got home.
(I used to hate getting up and going to work on sunday morning)

It depends where you live, like the one ontop, there are many community colleges that offer a culinary certificate. They should have a college day near you, go and ask lots of questions!
