In the UK what is the percentage of households that have natural gas appliances? Gas Stove, oven, space heater, clothes dryer, water heater, etc.

Is it mostly all electrics in the UK? Every time I see photos or videos of modern UK, the homes always have an electric cook top. Why does the UK prefer electric appliances over gas appliances? Isn't natural gas cheaper in the UK than using electricity to cook and heat with?

Most households in the UK have gas central heating which includes water heating. I have had gas ovens and hobs for year (my preference).

We don't really get gas dyers over here - all electric. Gas and electricity aren't cheap either!

I don't know the percentage but lots of people here in the UK have gas. Lots of people prefer gas for cooking because you can regulate the heat more finely, but you can't usually have it in high-rise flats. I think most domestic central heating is gas. Gas prices have gone up a bit recently but electricity used to be regarded as more expensive.
