Are there many ethnicities in Lebanon?
I noticed that Christians look different than Muslims, they have more western looks. The bekaa people look like Syrians.
And Druze, especially, have very distinguished looks. I can easily tell a Druze. Probably because they're an ethnic group of their own and don't allow intermarriage.
The shia of Lebanon have persian looks.
Does every religious group in Lebanon, trace its origins to a particular country? Is it true that the Christians of Lebanon hold French and Crusader genes?

a heavy propaganda has been used here for political reasons..

my answer to your question, would be like this:

ofcourse lebanese have crusaders blood mixed (many soldiers loved lebanese beautiful women) but it is not that wide spread, i mean after all, they married, but more than with 10% of lebanese women?! maximum i give it a 20%...

but the main difference in blood between christians and muslims is refered to other sources; Christians, ahead of them the Marounites are descendants of syriac/aramic byzantiannes who dwelled in the mountains of mardeen, constantineopolis, and other parts of nowaday turkey.. they may have some little mix of blood with armenians and greeks at that time.. further more, the rest of christians (non marounties) such as catholics and orthodox in lebanon, they are the reall natives in lebanon (marounites from byzantia came in 5th century, and arabs in 632 AD when islam came)... and these christians are of pheoncian (or cannaanite same thing) and greek mixture due to submission of what is now lebanon to the hellenic states in the greco-era .. theres also roman blood though not that spread as much as greek which is main reason why greeks and lebanese look pretty much alike..

druze are of kurdish roots, so they are descendants of old iranian tribes.. they were arabized eventually..

sunnis are mixture of arabs and turks (recently through ottman empire), we even have balkanic muslims and greeks who were transfered to lebanon according to some ethnical re allocation plans, just as some syriac/assyriac/armenians were transfered to some parts of black sea region countries...

shiia are not persians but may carry some blood.. after all most of the marriages untill now as well, are done according to similarity in religiouns.... welcome to middleeast! yet you cant refer to them as of iranian persian blood, they are mostly arabs.

conclusion:

persian blood is exagerated in shiia (propaganda to allienate shia from lebanon).. they mostly arabs.

franco-european blood is exagerated in christians (propaganda to use them as tools, just as france frustrates the berbers in algeria since they have probably a european blood... bla bla) ... christians are of syriac byzantian blood with strong presence of greek, and smaller of others (armenian, macedonian, turk and arab as well)

sunnis are arabs with ottman flavour..

druze are indo-european with minimum level of mixture with others(enclosed group)..

i hope i gave u answer u were looking forward to.

This is totally untrue; you are confusing the physical traits of the people with their appearance (outfit and stuff).

Christians do not look different that Muslims.

The Lebanese are a mixture of ethnicities and one's religious sect does not tell you about his ethnic background!

You are confusing the physical features of people with their appearance lol! Like people of the bekaa are more tribal looking. Druze have a distinguished look? how so? Christians are more western looking? Are there more blondes among Christians than there is among Muslims? Totally untrue.

The shia have a persian look? Certainly not, but the beard hezbollah fans grow and their outfit makes them look like Iranis.

A recent study showed that Lebanese are a mixture of people and it proved that one's religion does not tell you anything about his genes.

Hope this helps.

There is another ethnic group in the mix that hasn't already been mentioned & that is the Amenian cultural & religious influence.

The Armenians are primarily Christian & have been influential in establishing Christian communities throughout
Lebanon in the first half of last century.

Armenia was the first nation to adopt Christianity as its' national religion & the migration to Lebanon followed the unbelievable persecution & genocide that was perpertrated on them by the Turks during the first world war .

As far as looks go , yes , there are racially different characteristics but to define them by religion I think is not appropriate....I believe it should be along ethnic lines according to heritage.Where this becomes blurred is in trying to determine these factors several generations later.

Christians of Lebanon and especially Maronites come from Syria.
What you is not totally true, there are lots of Shia with western looks, blond hair and green or blue eyes.
I think it depends on the location they live in and the food they eat.
I'm not sure if the Christians hold French and Crusader genes, but it makes sense.

People think I am Italian, Greek, Puerto Rican, Spanish, English, no one ever said I look bad. I don't know what you're talking about for looks of people, if you read a history book, you will see how many different people have been there and have had families. I think that on both sides of my family they were originally Jewish, so what does that make me? A mutt? Lebs are a mixture of everything, so you can't really pin one "look" to anyone. But, we're all Caucasian, not Black, Hispanic, Native American, Eskimo or Pacific Islander or Asian. You never know where someones family tree branches off, and this profiling is very rude, so maybe you should rethink before you ask a question, you might not like the answers.

That funny, I thought they all look like Danny Thomas. You've pretty much circled the bases in Lebanon; alot of nationalities have been through the country and live there. I don't know about the Crusader genes; it is plausible, but to whom would you do a DNA test to prove it. Going after 800-year old bodies is pretty iffy.

each and every of the Lebanese human beings I met, Jordanians, Palestinians, Algerians, Egyptians (im in this classification lol), etc. etc. all of them seem the comparable. the great distinction nonetheless are human beings from the Gulf. i'm particular some seem western of direction (I advise im residing evidence of that like my entire family contributors is unusual haha you would be like what the heck you're all appropriate lol), some seem brown, and a few are in the middle. The lebanese ive met are all tan and tbh they weren't nancy ajram or haifa wehbe looking haha. permit's in basic terms say that.

I have to agree with Smutty, it's probably more the appearance then the actual physical traits. we all share the same mediterannen look to some extent, but within the same religion you will find that some have whiter or darker skin than others or different other physical features.
