I dont understand whats happening with Peca because hes supposed to be a Free Agent but i havn't heard anything about him and no one has made a move on him, does that mean that hes not ready to go back to the nhl yet?

Well as a fellow leaf fan (presumably you are one too), I would also like to know what's going on. I know he's getting a little older and all that, but he was such an amazing defensive player. The only article I could find since the season ended regarding peca was in the ny post which said the isles had interest in him, but that was a month ago. I guess anything goes...

Peca is playing the waiting game for the Leafs. He wants to finish off in Toronto. The Leafs are still trying to get another impact player somehow and once they do that Peca will sign for what the Leafs can afford.

He's recovering from a massive injury, and I would guess that teams are waiting to see how he does this summer before coming up with a contract. Someone will take a chance on him eventually, but you can't blame a team for waiting.
Buffalo would not be a bad fit for him with the loss of Drury and Briere, if there are no hard feelings over his departure.

i read an article today that peca does not expect to return to toronto this year....perhaps a final stint back in buffalo???

he probably Has some Emotional Problems, until he gets better he'll have to deal with his Demons first.
