Ok abolishing the income tax is cool and Social security you forgot to say if we would get a refund for the services we have paid for hhhmmm the road thing, if you privatise they are gonna want a toll and we have already paid taxes for those roads so I guess its ok if you do it to some new roads that are paid for by private industry and I can still use the roads we already paid for and the schools should be public but better managed. The utilities and telco's are private industry and should remain that way while the subsudies are eliminated and they should survive or die in the free market system without government hand outs.

Well, let's see. Lowering income taxes would be fine. But abolishing Social Security for those rotten 68 year old people who just don't want to work? Not likely. Privatize roads - hmm, guess that would depend on if I live in an area where the people were rich enough to repair all the roads themselves. Privatize schools - not likely - we need a single standard of education if we have any hope of progressing as a country. Privatize utilities - does that mean I can set up a wind generator in my backyard and sell electricity to my neighbors? I guess that would be OK. Course, if nobody in my neighborhood decided to start purifying water, we'd get awful thirsty! And I'd sure hate the idea of 200 different phone lines coming into my house so I could get calls from all my friends who didn't use the same company I did!

Sorry, no. I used to think that government should basically go away, but over time you soften and your sense of feeling for those who have less than you increases. Suddenly you realize that there but for the grace og God go you and I.
There are just some things that the government must do. Maybe, had we never become reliant on the Government so much this would be different, but reality being what it is, the government must do some things.
I have been in a couple of nations with private roads and they are not poor ones, but the roads are.
Something must be done to ensure that all Americans have access to health care and that it is affordable. I am fortunate and have good insurance that I can pay for, but many folks don't (44 million to be precise) and we have to help them and soon. I know now of a lady who may die because the hospital will not perform life saving surgery until she pays about half upfront, which would be about $15,000.
She is one of those w/o health insurance. She and her husband make about $32,000 a year. He health does not permit her to work, but he works hard. The company has a company doctor for him, but she is not entitled to that benefit.
If anyone would ensure her with these multiple health problems, it would cost over $1200 a month. Do the math, that is nearly half their gross income and more than half the net.
OBTW, most Electric in this country is provided by private companies already. We live in a town that supplies our gas and water and we pay about half what a neighboring town does for those services. The city is not trying to profit, companies must or fail. To be fair our elec. (private) is reasonable too, but many thing the govt's do can save you money, many don't and even cost you more, but that is just the way life is.
We have privately owned charter schools in my state and those kids have had much trouble passing the tests they need to graduate, much more than the public school kids have.
Finally I'd like to see income taxes go to, but the alternative is a national sales tax of probably 17-20%. thats OK with me, but a lot of people would get hurt with that much to pay on top of state sales taxes.
I hope you see my point.

Not likely since you don't say much and there aren't really any details, and it depends if you had experience with anything else. If you worked at mcdonalds and decided to run for (I assume) Governor, I would not vote for you since you don't have any experience.
Plus lowering income tax isn't a good idea and abolishing them is completely asinine.

Social security was intended as a retirement program, and as far as welfare goes, yes, there are limits, but the last thing you want in a community are people who don't have anything to lose.
Privitization is fine as long as the businesses are kept honest. Unfortunately, honesty is less common than it should be.
That said, I'll be voting for Ron Paul anyway.

Yes.
Not because everything you say is true, but because what you say is DIFFERENT.
People confuse being different with being wrong.
I don't agree with all the statements you made, some just in context not in mere subject, some in mere conjecture rather than statement, but I would vote for you just to FORCE a real debate on the issues.
