The featured article on the yahoo homepage says flirting with other people improves your relationship. That is, as long as there are boundaries set and you both mutually agree to let each other engage in innocent flirting with other people. When I read it, it made sense. I think if my bf had agreed to that a long time ago, I may have been more comfortable around people b/c I wouldn't always have those nagging thoughts of would my boyfriend approve of this? Would I be reprimanded for talking to this guy if he were here? For the past five years I have basically blown off every male who tried to talk to me if I suspected they were interested at all. I might have had less anxiety in general if I had permitted myself to do a little innocent flirting without worrying about feeling guilty or negative consequences. Btw, I am not saying if you are involved in a relationship to be all touchy feely with other people! (that is obviously taking it too far).

every heard that there are many slips between your lips and the cup. You could miss your mouth and pour it on your self. Now if you both play around because technically that is what it amouts to and what if it when a little farth then a wink and smile and into the bedroom is that also the same as a light flirting today's world. But if you both sat down and agree to how much and when this could be down like in front of you or behind your back . But touchy -feely is what thaat article in today's world means..

I agree with you. A little innocent flirting is good for the soul and ego sometimes. But as you said there need to be boundaries that are discussed between the couple beforehand.

Yeah I agree with that theory. I think flirting and allowing yourself to socialize with others(even though you are taken) can be good in the sense that it builds a foundation of trust between you and your partner. I think it builds a minor distance between two partners, which can be good. Not being all up in each other's business can be relieving, and it also signifies that you trust your partner and allow them to freely talk to others, having the confidence that nothing will happen.

Guys will agree only if it is for them to flirt and not their other half. I think if you have to flirt then you are with the person that you really want to be with. On the other hand, I think innocent flirting is no big deal.

good article, we do this often (GF and myself) i agree, being jealous about who, why, whats, hows every time you talk with someone else besides your partner stinks, trust is important, honesty, the whole package sort of speaking

I very much agree..sure there should be limits and boundaries when you ARE off limits, but there are also limits to the..limits.

Highly disagree. A relationship should be you and your lover, not some other person
