Executive orders have essentially paved the way for any of the past 4 or 5 presidents to assume supreme control of the nation with a stroke of a pen.Sadly,Americans are pleasure-mad and get their views inculcated into their minds by a controlled media.Very few Americans know what is about to befall them in the next 3 years. The NAU will utterly crush this nation, and that is 3 years away.

The Patriot Act was not the sole work of President Bush. When our nation was under attack, America demanded he do something to change how we fight the threat of terrorism.
There were a lot of players (Republican and Democrat) who worked on a law that gives emergency powers to the President and Law Enforcement agencies who have the responsibility to protect us from acts of terror.
The idea behind the Patriot Act is that the process to acquire certain court orders (search warrants, wire taps, trace and freeze financial assets) is a lengthy process.
Bad guys may use pay phones, mobile phones, or the internet. As the moving target is followed, new warrants must be acquired for each step of the way. The patriot act allows agencies to tap-now and tell-later. In this manner, no matter where the terror suspect goes, we can follow the bouncing ball.
The key to protecting our rights is to monitor this law for abuses, and make sure that the only purpose for circumventing the warrant process is to preserve national security and prevent acts of terror.
Hope this was as clear as mudd.

There is no such thing as something that would allow the president to become a dictator under any circumstance. No rights have been removed and the only threat to the constitution comes from the liberals who like to change its meaning in whatevey way suits them at the moment.

The Constitution is still alive and well and the law of the land. President Bush cannot unilaterally abolish it. In fact, the Constitution is what gives him his authority. He is sworn to uphold and defend that Holy document above all.
It also creates separations of power. I think Congress and the courts would have much to say about attempt to abolish the Constitution. Also, the military would not follow attempt to abolish it. Officers are bound to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC, and obey LAWFUL orders.
Orders blatantly against the Constitution are not lawful. The military has a lot of brilliant senior (and junior) officers who would not permit such an event.
It ain't happenin'.

I can't directly answer your question. I can however tell you that anytime you have a person or government in a position of power, who you cannot personally hold responsible ( ie. you never meet them, and they don't know you or care about you personally) you will lose your personal rights in favor of their agenda. The only way to correct this is to bring the "right's" that our constitution guarantees back to the local and state level so that we can hold these person's personally responsible, fact to face. Otherwise we get ran over. In a period of "global community" and "nationalism" it is paradigm that we, as citizens become involved at a local level, and tell our federal government to relenquish most of their responsibilities back to the states, in order for us to do what is best for our communities, families and friends. After all, that's what governments are supposed to do, serve us directly and personally where we live and according to our needs......not politicians personal agenda's.

Yes, I'd be happy to clear things up for you. You are hearing things. Anti-psychotics work really well if monitored by a board certified doctor.
