it was live if you started watching in the beginning. after awhile, they started to replay the performances! you were watching the replay!

Since the silly thing goes on for 24 hours around the world, I am sure that stations are going to be replaying parts of it all over the place.
BUT Live Earth is supposed to mean making the Earth live - i.e. not killing it. Not that the concert is live.
