I just know that when one comes along, I'd be wishing for the other.

I had two kids... two c-sections. First experience was horrible! It wasn't a planned c-section. But everything went smooth after that part was over :) Second one was GREAT! It WAS a planned c-section like you. The nerves will subside. You will start to get excited when it gets even closer. You'll want it to be over already so you can meat your baby. With a c-section there is no pain... that's the best part! You will get the best drugs and won't feel anything. After birth though, do be prepared to not be able to do much the first week. Where they cut is right on your bikini line. My doctor was great. The nurses even said the cuts keep getting smaller and smaller. A tiny line 2-3 inches (and yes, they can pull a 9lb 8 oz baby out of that!) If the doctor is good the cut will conform to the natural line under your belly. You will barely notice it after it is all healed. Plus, it is in such a inconspicuous spot. Don't worry about picking out a name. You will have more time in the hospital to make the decision. I did that with my first, it was actually better because once I met her the name just came to me. Children have what is called unconditional love. They will love you no matter what. That isn't even something you should concern yourself with. Just make sure you have full support team when you come home. It will take you a little while to feel 100%.

Well Sweetie, I've lived in terrible pain and stared death straight in
the eyes! Not scared of nothin' that "poops, eats or breaths" The only thing that scares me is not living up to the potential that the
"Good Lord" expects of me...........now that scares me!

Not living my life to the fullest. Pain and death are part of the human condition. Memories will get me through any discomfort.
