Let me speak in the physical aspect as this is "a Part of...."....
A certain amount of brain cells die every year as with skin,Hair and physical eye sight, bones deteriate,as with muscle tone-(which in muscl tone we tend to recognize and work towards strengthening,as with more activity of the brain for enrichment to prevent those underlying brain cells from dying off..im not sure in this aspect, if the brain is fully capable of retreival, but it is known that the more we stretch our brains the fewer brain cells die off.
