Press the power button, your pc should boot back to EXACTLY how you left it, programs open and running and all.

Hope that helps

If none of the above work, you might have to force a power off. This can be done by holding the power button down for about 5 seconds, that, or unplugging it and removing the battery.

By the way, I don't use hibernate. Just too problamatic for me. You can go into your Power Options and actually disable it. I use standby instead. Try it and see if you like it better.

possible problems...
1) it is on battery power
soultion: plug it in.
2) It overheated
solution: leave it on a venteladed surface for a while, then turn it back on.
3) it really is on hibernate.
soultion: press and hold the power button, it should start.
if that dosent work, look up what to do on your owners manual or the computers website.

to turn off hibernate, go to start-control panel-display-screen saver-monitor power- then check off what you want your computer to do.

Hitting the power button should do it. It also might be on a dead battery. Charge it then try.
