A water-mold pathogen called Saprolegnia ferax destroys their eggs and that is the most direct cause of the huge drop in the number of amphibians world-wide.
There were some early theories that there was some new mold introduced from Asia or somewhere that was killing off amphibians, but the real answer seems to be linked to global warming and changes to temperatures stressing amphibian eggs making them more vulnerable to the mold pathogens that already exist. Some scientist believe that all amphibians in the Western Hemisphere may be completely wiped out within the next ten years.

LOL ... where I currently live, frog (or froggie) is slang for a particular part of a woman's anatomy! Where I grew up it was slang for a francophone. So, either way, I am laughing :) What happened to all the frogs? I wouldn't know... I am only responsible for my own (and I came home early like a good girl :)

There was a gal who claimed to be a Princess and she was kissing all the frogs. Well, it wasn't long before there were a lot of horny toads running all around.
