Yup. There are some rather nasty things in my environment that happen everyday. I don't want to get used to them... that somehow means that they become acceptable. They are not.

Hmmm, the only thing I can think of is when people honk at each other on the freeway. I hear it all the time, but it always makes me jump. :)
