It sounds like you already have friends that are playing Guild Wars. If so, be sure to buy the same edition that they have so you can play with them. Ask them which campaign they recommend and spent the most time in.

You should play World of Warcraft instead of Guild Wars.

first of all
dont waste your money on world of warcraft
its crappy
and guild wars is really fun for the first few weeks
but it loses its luster

im not sure? but why are you wanting to play guild wars? if its because its free, i say screw that and get world of warcraft. more people play it and you wont have any trouble getting started and making friends.
