i'd like to know what time does the shooting take place.

besides, Dave oftens makes fun of people in public, like Paris Hilton going to jail, accident of Jet Blue... is he afraid of offending people and getting into trouble?

David tapes usually at 4:30 p.m. every day. On Tuesdays he tapes 2 shows and one of them is shown on Friday. David is using his "freedom of speech" to make fun of people - he's a comedian and that's what they do. I think he's a comic genius and watch his show every night. I met with one of the writers in NYC several years ago who no longer works there. He wrote David's Top Ten book. And I met Wil Lee - from the band. Cool guys. The writer I mentioned went to college with my Mom. They remain friends.

I've never been to the show in person. I'm almost positive that it takes place in the morning, though. If you notice the segments they do outside (that are suposedly "live") it's always sunny outside.

And like the girl above said... Letterman is a comedian. He would have to say something really bad for him to get into much trouble. People understand that it's his job to make jokes about celebritys and companys. It wouldn't be a very funny show if he made fun of neighborhood companys and people who aren't famous.

Nope, I've never had the oppurtunity to attend one of his extremely intellectual shows filled with such fresh humour and incredibly witty, albeit slightly, but ever only so slightly, demeaning/insulting/degrading/derogatory "jokes",but what the hey.

Dave is such a jackass...
