Many people around the planet are dying from starvation but some countries are using food, like corn, to make combustibles. Do you think is OK.

I wish we could use milk its cheaper than gasoline per gallon where I am.
all kidding aside, if you are asking about a moral obligation to do otherwise I would say no.
but realistically we are most like competitive primates. A hammurabian code of justice and some humans conquered lands that have better resources. as humanity evolves i think this practice will be looked upon with disdain.

I think really we could have nuclear power supplying electricity for cars. Its not perfect but its better than what we have.

Ethanol is absolutely a good idea....

The starving people are not the result of world wide food shortages but only exist because local governments are inept at managing agriculture and food availability. Solve the problem of government mis-management and you'll see fewer people going hungry.

You're pointing and wagging your finger in the wrong direction.

I agree, it is a dumb idea. Manufacturing alternate fuels is always a good idea especially if it is a renewable source but not if you are using your food to do it. We need to find something we are not using or that is a by-product of some other process.

it is uneconomic and stupid.

which, of course, tells you a lot about Government (which subsidizes it).
