I am from the midwest and lived in Oregon for about 4 years. The NW accent was noticeable to me, but so was my accent to the natives there. They thought I was from New York. I thought the people from Oregon had somewhat of a country "twang" but not Southern. I noticed it most with the vowel sounds "a" and "o." A couple who lived next door to me were Don and Dawn. It was very funny to me because they pronounced their names exactly opposite from they way I said them. Don sounded like Dawn, and Dawn sounded like Don! You would have to hear it spoken to understand what I mean. Whenever I said the word "bag," people thought I was saying bog. When I said the word "cot," they thought I said cat (and vice-versa). Crazy, huh?

No; it's natural. I'm from New York, and I didn't know I spoke with an accent until I moved to the South. "I don't have an accent--all of YOU have accents!!!" But the northwestern accent is pretty noticeable. It sounds kinda...different, lol.

I'm from SW Washington.
When I was on a bus trip to Chicago, late one night I spoke and heard my own accent. It was an odd sensation. Even heard one lady ask another where I was from.
Yep the NW

Since we can't hear you, I suggest you record an audio clip onto your computer then upload the link here for us to listen to. Other than that, there's no way we could know what your voice sounds like. Sorry
