I have a clarki clownfish and an anemone. I forgot what kind it is. It's Small, white, and it has purple tips. It started with a "C".

Chances are the anemone you bought is a condylactis, and these aren't used by any of the clownfish species. Clownfish and anemones have a very specific relationship, and not all anemones are compatible with all clowns - you need to get ones that will host the clown you have - and you're in luck because clarkii's are hosted by several types of anemones. The bubble-tip would probably be the easiest of the selection to keep. See the list of clowns and compatible anemones in the link below:

I breed allardi's and none of them use the anemone's in the tank. A tank is not like the open ocean and there are only 10 anemone that clowns will even use.

Just because you have an anemone doesn't mean the clowns will use them. It is cool when they do, but more often than not they won't since food and preaditors are not the same in a tank.

the clarki clown is a pacific ocean fish and the condylactis anemone comes from the caribean or atlantic ocean. you will have to spend quite a few more bucks for an anemone that your clown will take to. you will need a carpet anemone, maroon anemone or probably the cheapest will be a singapore sebae anemone. let me know what you decide to do and your results.

How long have you had the anemone and clown together? Sometimes it takes weeks for the clown to enter the host anemone. Give him time and soon you'll see him dart into it and out and soon he will set up house keeping. The type of anemone you purchased sounds like a Sabae. They can be hard to keep requiring lots of light and care. I've never had good luck with them.
Also a clown doesn't really need a host anemone to be happy. Mine hosts in my mushroom corals and leathers
good luck!

It is your condy anemone. Get a carpet anemone and they will host quickly in most cases. Do more research next time.
