Yeah for 3 years in a row. In 6 7 and 8. I made it to district each year and then in 8th I made it to the next level and almost made it to WCNY TV bee.

i was in a spelling bee in 5th grade, i sucked because i was one of the last ones to get a paper apple with my name on it on the board on the wall where everyone else passed the bee.

You're asking all these people who even with a Spell Checker spell things wrong??
I myself have never been in one.
And as for your error, there is a big difference between a TYPO and a Spelling mistake. You obviously had a typo, which is normal and happens often. But spelling mistakes are inexcusable, especially with a spell checker!

Yeah, when I was in 2nd grade. And I spelled banana wrong. It's a long story, but I blame it on the guy that was sitting next to me.

yes, once, in 3rd grade. After that I was recommended by others to be in many more, but I refused.
