Do a good old fashioned cleaning of your entire house. If you have carpets, have them cleaned professionally after thoroughly vacuuming them. Move all appliances and clean under them with a bleach/water mixture. Do not allow smoking in your house and use the fan vent over your stove when you cook. Lastly, get a air purifier or two, this will help eliminate dust.

Arianah was on the right track. Cobwebs are actually spiderwebs. This time of the year the temperature and humidity are high. This is the perfect condition for spiders to breed.
Try to keep the house temperature to about 24 to 26 degrees C (75 - 78 degrees F) and Humidity below 40%.
Do a thorough cleaning

Bug sprays should only be used as a last resort - especially indoors.
