the answer to that question would be no...you would need to have the same graphics card with the same processor..for example you have a 7600GT your other card would also have to be another 7600GT..an overclocked card will also work with a regular card but its better if u get a card with the same memory...you can get it to work if one card is 512 and the other one is 256 but the 512 one will only use the lower amount in this case 256..

yes, it should work since they are both sli cards. but the sli bridge part will be wierd because the 8 series are bigger i think or atleast the 8800 is, so be careful with that. also, make sure your motherboard is sli capable and has 2 pci-e slots

No, and even if they were the same series, unless they are the same card it won't work. They can be different brands as far as I know, however, if one has unlocked pipes, or is overclocked, you can't use it. They have to be the standard ones, or you have to unlock the pipes and overclock both the same.
