I see so many people here say that the media is liberally slanted and this is the reason we don't hear about the good things going on in Iraq. I have to admit I am trying to remain objective about this. Got any links?

Well even though those stories were sweet I have to say there is not much there. Flip Flops for kids, Iraqi girl serves pastries to the troops? and one web-site still begging for good stories. I was looking for more really. The cost of this war should have bought more than that.

well when you get right down to it, it's all really just your point of view.

for instance, when the news that over 600,000 iraqi civilians have been killed was announced, it should have been prefaced with the word 'only' and then pointing out that most of the iraqis were still alive.

you could also try dressing up stories about the WAR in iraq, which are likely to be WAR related with smiley faces or something like that.

hope this helps.

I cannot find any good news concerning war...Having said this much I've had fun as usual on Y/A. To all those who agree or disagree, all left wing, right wing, Libs, Cons, and those in the middle I wish you a good night.

Well you can always ask the pres... he will make something up for you... Condi was pretty good at thinking up stories.. but haven't heard much from her lately. Cheney just grumbles about everything.. so you don't know if it is good or bad. But of course there is good old reliable Fox news.. they will give you the " Mary Sunshine" version of the war.

Guess what.. with 3500 of our young people dead.. what kind of good news do you expect?

soldiers who have been there won't give you any. Some may mention a school built or handing out mre's to iraqi kids, but the cold stares, rocks, middle fingers, and sense that all iraqis are enemies rings out the loudest. (at least for those who left the base)

There is only ONE good story from Iraq!

It again proves ancient proverbs and thoughts are never wrong! And it goes like this......

"Nations or individuals who never learn from past mistakes, are CONDEMNED to repeat them! "

Another Vietnam!

Could you be more clear. Good things about a war zone? Does not compute. Anyway, good news does not sell newspapers and air time.

Well Google Video removed many of the US soldiers doing bag things (like shooting dogs for fun), and there really aren't any videos of soldiers doing good things so...I'm at a loss.
