Hi. I will try to answer your question overall, not just about the Red Hot Chili Peppers (I saw your Green Day question also, btw). I do not have a 13 year old son, but I am an adult with teen children in my family (my nieces and nephews) and some experience with the business of rock & roll, so...
Given the world we live in, I'd say, within reason, let your son have his rock & roll, given a couple of factors. For one thing, really, rap/ hip hop would be worse. I don't mean to sound biased, here, but rock is less violent and more creative. And, he is going to hear the music he wants to hear anyway. Better to have it in the home where, instead of forbidding him (which I gather you're not doing) you can give him some perspective and encourage him in appropriate creative expression.
From the little I've seen of it, it sounds like your son has pretty intelligent taste. A few warning stickers and questionable songs not withstanding, the music he wants to listen to should do him more good than harm. I would advise that, instead of worrying about individual albums, you might try to listen to some of it with him. He'll be pleased, despite what he might say to the contrary. I remember when my mom listened to my albums with me when I was his age. She didn't love it but she tried and it was really nice for me.
Remember, rock music doesn't cause suicide or depression or drug use or any self-destructive behavior. The causes of those problems go much deeper than that. Rock music is an art form, if an occasionally mischievious one. And, teenage conformity to a stylistic fad is perfectly normal. I'd be glad he picked this one.
Last thing. Purely my opinion, I suppose, but skip the "clean" online versions. It's censorship - not at all a good thing. And, he'll hear the real version somewhere anyway.

I wouldn't have a little one so I won't let you know what you will have to do, nonetheless, Red Hot Chili Peppers isn't a loopy band and I do not suppose the crows that is going to their live performance are both. They had been trendy within the 90s quite often, so there'll commonly be an older crowd there. Is it external? might be garden seats so you'll transfer comfortably in case the drunks get out of hand. I went to a Pearl Jam live performance a 12 months in the past and it used to be quite laid again.

Of course it's appropriate. If you're trying to get your son to listen to good rock music the Chili Peppers is a better choice than lets say Korn or Marylin Manson. Try their greatest hits album. I'm sure you can find the clean version online but they hardly curse in their songs anyways.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are awesome. I met them in Costa Rica and they are very humble . I know years ago they used to say nasty stuff but I grew up listening their music and i didnt become a bad person. I think U should let him get their music, specially albums like Californication and By the way.

Yes, they are a good band. Avoid bands like gang rap. Encourage anything creative, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a fun band that are talented and mean no harm and give no negative stereotypes.

You don't take the Parental Advisory Sticker for granted all the time, what's with you asking the same questions over and over?

Yes, personally i believe that most of the music is ok. If you truly trust your son, you won't have to worry about it. There isn't anything excessively bad. An alternative also is to buy the edited versions.

As I doubt there's many people who know your son better than you, I suggest you listen to a couple of Chilli's albums and see what you think.

The ONLY person who can truly answer what is appropriate for your son is YOU. None of us know your values and what offends you. Listen to some of these cds and then decide for yourself if you'd let your son listen to it.
