As soon as you can, even in the hospital is fine. My daughter's favorite position was tummy time on mama or dada. We would lay down and lay her on top of us on our tummies. This was the only way she would endure tummy time. It was great for both of us!
As for tummy time on the floor the sooner you start the less they hate it, just try a minute here and there, and eventually it will add up and your baby will enjoy it and then before you know it they will be rolling all over! Good luck!

i started "tummy time" with my daughter when she was about a week old. just a few minutes a couple times a day at first. it helps strengthen their neck and back muscles. my daughter will be 7 months old next week and is already crawling and trying to pull up on things. i have a friend who's daughter is 2 weeks younger and didn't start tummy time until she was 2 months old and she's not even trying to creep or crawl yet.
hope this was helpful

We started our daughter on tummy time right away. But she came out of the womb trying to hold her head up - and succeeding for a few seconds. It helps babies build the muscles in the neck and arms and also prevents them from getting that little bald spot on the back of their head from laying on their backs too much. Just make sure to keep an eye on the baby.

You can start tummy time from birth although it isn't necessary until around two months so that a baby can gain head and neck control. The benefit of starting from birth is that you could avoid the flat spot that many babies get from lying on their backs.

You can lie him/her on the tummy as soon as you want - just be there the whole time.
They like to lay on your chest and listen to your heartbeat, and it make them feel cozy.
When he/she gets old enough to hold up the head, [ about three months ] put on tummy to talk to and interact with.
At an average age of four months, they start to roll, and then
THEY pick the tummy time!

I started my kids with tummy time immediately. A few times a day, every day, I would lay them on their tummies when they were awake. When they got cranky or fell asleep, I would move them. My sister waited until her son was a few months old to put her son on his tummy, and he hated it, because he wasn't used to it. As soon as your baby is spending a little bit of time awake and alert, go for it!

from birth. they should spend some time every day one their tummy. but it is very important by 3 months so they can learn to hold their heads up and lay the foundations for things like rolling over and crawling.

When they are able to hold their head on their own. It depends on the baby, but if they can pick up their when lying on your chest then they are ready. My son started at 1 month.

I started both my kids when they were a few days old. They both hated it! I would move them when they fell asleep or got hysterical. Something that we need to do so they can build up those muscles!

around 2 months, but your baby will probably only stand it for a few min. at first. 3-5min/day is fine
