This is what I found on the Internet:
"Google Earth is not a GIS application and hence it doesn't provide geoprocessing functionality"

What do they mean by "geoprocessing functionality"? The ability to do what exactly?

Thanx

I do believe that google earth is a GIS application because you have to download it inable to see it. It may be GIS software that goes into your computer inorder for you to use Google earth.

http://www.nd.gov/gis/docs/gis-conf-2006/esriGpWorkshopNd.pdf this is a heavy site to look into but it illustrated also to explain what geoprocessing functionality is.

http://gis2.esri.com/library/userconf/devsummit06/papers/geoprocessing.pdf here is a power point presentation. there is 64 pages but to too much to take in. at least have a look and see.
