Why the hell weren't we thinking this when Bush first ran for President?? All of a sudden since Hillary is running, it's brought up.
Honestly to me, it doesn't matter. I love the Clintons'. I want Hillary in 2008. But I don't ever want another Bush in office.

I would hope we can finally have a President with a different last name, I would hope the next President is not a Clinton and we will never have another Bush in office.
Did you ever stop and think of it this way. Bush Sr was first elected in 88' and if Hillary is elected and was able to secure a second term she would be President until 2016. An entire generation of Americans would be born and have children of their own going their entire life with their Presidents being one of two families.

I don't know. But there is something very wrong with a democracy of 300 million people, where candidates have this tendency to arise from the same families. The probability of another person in that family actually being the right person for that role out of over 200 million American adults is astronomically small. But somehow, the machinery of big parties and mass media are making it not only possible, but highly likely. They say if you can't find a way to raise $300 million, you can forget about ever setting foot in the White House. Something is amiss here. This is certainly not the vision of the founding fathers.

I think Hillary stands on her own merits. Who do you think got Bill out of Hope and into the Whitehouse? No one is going to muck things up as bad as Bush/Cheney, she could pick Alf as her VP and still come out ahead.

Guess we didn't learn too much as a nation when we put the Adams family into office.

I agree with Stattz. Father & son were a disaster.
I haven't made up my mind about the candidates,
but I do know that husband & wife are very different
from father & son.
